Microsoft no longer with VUE?
Dear MCT: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
As you may be aware, Microsoft Learning is planning to transition its exam business to another test delivery provider beginning September 1, 2007. I just got this email from VUE. Seems like CISCO is exclusive to VUE and Prometric is exclusive to Microsoft??? Will |

i didnt know if it was old or not. I never heard about it nor seen it on any microsoft communication.
That was from vue themselves because of the MCT reward program talking about they are cancelling it early. Why the exclusivity though? Is this a vue vs prometric thing?? On the college testing front I have been seeing the same thing happen with ECE exams becoming exclusive to one of the testing providers. Will |

This may have something to do with exam security, but I am only speculating. They may have found out that VUE was responsible for leaks, or just decided that it would be more secure to deal with just one vendor. Again, just a wild guess.

If VUE was responsible why would Cisco choose only them? I would say that VUE in my experience is far more up on security than Prometric. My experience with Prometric has been pretty abyssmal. Every exam I've had with them has had problems. Once they even forgot to check my ID until I politely reminded them. VUE on the other hand has always been great to work with. So I'm not too happy with Microsoft's choice.

But again, it was just a wild guess. I am very curious as to why Cisco and Microsoft would limit themselves to one provider. They are essentially cutting the number of locations that their exams will be available in half, for now at least. From what I have read, Microsoft attributes the change to a desire to provide a consistent exam experience and increased speed to market for exam innovations. It is interesting that they chose Prometric which was for sale at the end of last year. Maybe they bought it.. Smile _________________ Did you know?
