CompTIA announced on October 12th that their Convergence+ exam was entering the beta testing stage. Although CompTIA has not announced the release date for the final exam, they have said that it will be soon.

Below is CompTIA's description of the Convergence+ certification:

"CompTIA Convergence+ is a credential that validates an IT professional's knowledge and skill to perform analysis, implementation and management of data, voice and multimedia convergence applications. The certification covers areas such as telephony, network engineering, applications, hardware, architecture, management, and security."
