the big question is, HOW do you go about doing it??? It was a pain to get the gi bill for college i think i have like 500-600 left and can use it for my certs. Go to the GI Bill website. All the information you need is there. The great thing about certs is that they don't count towards the money alloted for college, so it doesn't matter how much you have left. Check the link. Welcome to the GI Bill Website - (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs) Actually this is highly untrue statement. I just got off the phone with them and it does count againts your remaining benefits for college. I for example have 9 month to use until dec 2007 if i dont do all the certifications i want before that time i loose all GI bill benefits. So please dont go into this thinking its a lifetime thing and that it doesnt deduct from your current benefits for college, it does! Still is awesome that you can get rembursed for this though. Im glad i was just casually browsing. Thanks to the original poster!!! |

I could have sworn that I read before that it doesn't take away from your college benefits, but now I've looked it up and I see that it does. Thanks for the correction and clarification. Very Happy |
